TBI Support Groups

Women and men sitting in chairs in a circleTBI Support Groups are offered throughout the community at different days and times. Betty Clooney Center's Support Groups are offered to both the TBI survivor and caregivers. They are facilitated by a variety of leaders – social workers, peers, caregivers, and professionals in a variety of disciplines.

Support Groups are an informal resource that provides a greater understanding of TBI, an opportunity for empathy, and a sense of identity for participants. Learning new ways to handle challenges, cope with changes, and maintain new behaviors are all important aspects of the TBI Support Group experience.
